United Way Youth Venture: Northwest Animal Activists
We are proud to announce that Northwest School's Youth Venture Team ran a fundraiser this year to raise money for the the Gardner Animal Shelter. Their fundraiser activity was to tape both Ms. LeClair (Principal) and Mr. Prehna (Assistant Principal) to a wall. Students purchased strips of duct tape and guessed how many dog treats were in a jar for $1.00 each. The student who guessed the correct number of dog treats won a gift basket with a $25 gift card, stuffed animals and a cozy dog pillow! Congratulations to our gift basket winner, Elian in Mrs. Anzalone's 3rd grade classroom! Our Youth Venture Team raised close to a thousand dollars and we were excited to bring this money to the animal shelter! What a fun morning dedicated to a great cause!
